Acceptable Use Policy

2.1 Illegal Activities

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Engage in fraud, theft, or deceptive practices
• Money laundering or terrorist financing
• Distribute illegal substances or controlled materials
• Facilitate illegal gambling
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Violate export control or sanctions laws

2.2 Harmful Content

• Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Phishing or social engineering attacks
• Content that exploits or endangers minors
• Content promoting self-harm or suicide
• Graphic violence outside of legitimate training context
• Pornography or sexually explicit material
• Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism

2.3 Abuse of Others

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Stalk or engage in unwanted contact
• Doxx (publish private information without consent)
• Discriminate based on protected characteristics
• Defame or make false statements about others
• Impersonate individuals or organizations

2.4 Platform Abuse

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
• Circumvent security measures or access controls
• Reverse engineer or decompile platform software
• Interfere with service availability (DDoS, etc.)
• Scrape data without authorization
• Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
• Manipulate metrics, ratings, or engagement
• Use automated tools to access the service without permission

3.1 Unauthorized Commercial Activity

You may NOT:

• Collect payments for services outside the platform for services listed on Matlinks
• Advertise competing services in community spaces without permission
• Use customer data obtained through Matlinks for marketing unrelated products
• Resell or sublicense platform access
• Operate competing services using our data or content

3.2 Spam and Unwanted Messaging

• Send bulk unsolicited messages
• Post repetitive or irrelevant content
• Use deceptive subject lines or headers
• Hide affiliate links without disclosure
• Promote pyramid schemes or MLM

3.3 Fraudulent Practices

• Create fake accounts or profiles
• Misrepresent qualifications or credentials
• Post fake reviews (positive or negative)
• Manipulate search results or rankings
• Falsely claim affiliations with teams or organizations
• Sell counterfeit goods

4.1 Content Accuracy

• Accurately describe all products and services
• Don't make false claims about results or effectiveness
• Clearly state prerequisites and skill level requirements
• Disclose any material limitations
• Keep content updated and accurate

4.2 Safety Requirements

• Include appropriate safety warnings for techniques
• Don't encourage training beyond safe limits
• Recommend appropriate supervision when necessary
• Provide proper warm-up and injury prevention guidance
• Don't promote dangerous weight cutting practices

4.3 Credential Honesty

• Only claim legitimate belt ranks and credentials
• Don't falsely claim affiliations or lineages
• Accurately represent competition records
• Disclose if you are not actively training/competing

4.4 Customer Relations

• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Honor refund policies as stated
• Deliver services as described
• Maintain professional conduct at all times

5.1 User Data

You may NOT:

• Access or collect user data without authorization
• Share user information with third parties without consent
• Use data for purposes beyond providing your service
• Store payment card data (handled by Stripe)
• Transfer data outside agreed jurisdictions without consent

5.2 API Usage (If Applicable)

• Only access APIs with proper authorization
• Respect rate limits
• Don't cache data longer than permitted
• Don't use APIs to build competing products

6.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining strong, unique passwords
• Enabling two-factor authentication when available
• Not sharing account credentials
• Reporting suspected security breaches promptly
• Keeping your contact information up to date

6.2 Prohibited Security Activities

You may NOT:

• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Probe for vulnerabilities without authorization
• Exploit discovered vulnerabilities (report them instead)
• Intercept or monitor network traffic
• Bypass authentication or access controls

6.3 Responsible Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@matlinks.io. Do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities before we've had a reasonable opportunity to address them.

7.1 Your Content

You must ensure that any content you upload:

• Is owned by you or you have the right to use it
• Does not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights
• Properly credits third-party content when required
• Complies with any applicable licenses

7.2 Platform Content

You may NOT:

• Copy or redistribute courses or paid content
• Record or capture streaming content
• Remove watermarks or copyright notices
• Use platform branding without permission
• Create derivative works from protected content

8.1 Violation Detection

We may detect policy violations through:

• Automated monitoring systems
• User reports
• Manual review
• Third-party notifications

8.2 Consequences

The severity of action depends on the nature of the violation, history of violations, and impact on the community.

8.3 Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by emailing appeals@matlinks.io with:

• Your account information
• Description of the action taken
• Explanation of why you believe it was incorrect
• Any supporting evidence
